About

As a composer, arranger and MD I specialise in the liminal spaces between jazz, musical theatre and classical music. Luscious, whimsical and colourful are my watchwords. I am an avid storyteller and am every bit as passionate about lyric writing as I am about composition.

As a composer, I have worked with Ensemble Isis, the Ora singers and the Chroma Ensemble. I was a finalist in the Ora singers composer competition, judged by John Rutter and double shortlisted for BBC Young Composer Competition.

A first-class music graduate of the University of Oxford, I specialised in composition, orchestration and production.

My foundational influences include Jacques Brel, Steven Sondheim, Michel Legrand, Ray Davies and Francis Poulenc.

I was the musical director of Oxford Out of the Blue - an international acapella sensation that has amassed nearly 20 million YouTube views. I led them through tours of the East Coast of the United States and China, as well as a successful run for Assembly at the Edinburgh Fringe. I served as chief arranger and produced their 2025 album Spotlight.

I am currently developing a workshop musical with the playwright Ethan Mclucas and working as a creative facilitator with Oxford Opera.
